The Men’s Dance Movement Project

Philip Channells

The Men’s Dance Movement Project provides a unique opportunity for men with different life experience to enhance their creativity through developing and improving skills in dance, movement and improvisation techniques.

This one-day taster workshop includes stretch and strengthening exercises, warm up games and dance improvisations, which begin to unlock the individual’s creative potential. Participants can expect a fun and supportive environment with no judgement about their physicality or creativity.

There will be an opportunity to get to know new people through movement and a shared lunch. This is a once-off workshop which has potential to develop into a regular practice throughout 2015.

NB: people interested to continue will be encouraged to join The Men’s Movement Project as it works deeper into developing dramaturgical possibilities for performance.
