Expressions of Interest are now being sought for dance artists to attend Australia’s first ever disability-inclusive dance residency which will take place at the Boyd Education Centre. Set on Bundanon Trust’s magnificent Riversdale property overlooking the Shoalhaven River, this residency will provide up to 20 artists with and without a disability the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia’s most respected dance practitioners including Philip Channells and Elizabeth Ryan.

The Boyd Education Centre was designed by internationally celebrated Australian architect Glenn Murcutt in association with Reg Lark and Wendy Lewin. This building is the hub of the Bundanon Trust’s Education Programs and provides the central location for the Beyond Technique Residency.

Led by Dance Integrated Australia and associate artists, the Beyond Technique Residency is a 3-day program which focuses on developing solo and ensemble practice. The program will include daily Pilates & yoga inspired practice, developing solo and ensemble work, creative research and development, improvisation jams, dance films and a showing of the solo and ensemble works on the final afternoon/evening.

When: Wednesday 10 – Friday 12 July 2013 (3 days & 3 nights inclusive).

Cost: The fully inclusive package includes participant’s fees, accommodation and all meals for the entire residency period.
