No Difference Taster Workshop Weekend

NO DIFFERENCE / WEEKEND WORKSHOP

Do you love dancing and performing? Want to try something different on the Gold Coast? NO DIFFERENCE is a weekend dance workshop held at The Arts Centre Gold Coast and is being led by Philip Channells, Marissa Burgess and Ben Veitch who are working together to create a new dance/theatre performance.

The Taster Workshop weekend is suitable for dancers, ‘wannabe-dancers’, actors who move, non-performers and people from diverse backgrounds aged 15+.

Designed to challenge people’s perceptions and encourage change in the cultural landscape of dance in general, the “NO DIFFERENCE” Taster Workshop Program is an exciting new partnership between The Arts Centre Gold Coast and Dance Integrated Australia.

Working across different dance aesthetics in a safe and nurturing environment, ‘NO DIFFERENCE’ highlights our basic human need to connect with others. The Taster Workshop program will enhance participant’s understanding of working creatively with a range of dance styles and creative processes in a non-judgemental environment where everyone is equally challenged and has fun.

We hope to attract a broad range of performers, artists, collaborators and audiences who are committed to being part of sustaining an interconnected and vibrant community where we all celebrate diversity and accept and appreciate our cultural differences. Philip Channells
