Stella Young was a vociferous advocate, a brilliant writer and comedian, and an agent of change for disability in Australia. Above all, she loved to dance.

I dance as a political statement, because disabled bodies are inherently political, but I mostly dance for all the same reasons anyone else does: because it heals my spirit and fills me with joy. Stella Young 1982 – 2014

Stella passed away on Sunday 7 December 2014 at the age of 32. For the disability and arts sectors, her loss is immense.
