Perfect (im)Perfections – stories untold

Perfect (im)Perfections – stories untold is an international collaboration between DansiT and Dance Integrated Australia for the Multiplié Dansefestival 2014 in Trondheim, Norway.

Directed by Australia’s leading disability-inclusive dance practitioner, Philip Channells joins forces with world-renowned author / hip hop artist Trond Wiger and musician / sound artist Arnfinn Killingtveit to capture a mosaic of dance, theatre and spoken word that is part confessional, part visionary and at times deeply moving and perhaps… strangely absurd.

This international collaboration is a journey through collections of performers’ personal accounts of their hidden stories, thoughts, dreams and imaginations, which reflect and mirror our perceptions of perfection.

Happiness consists in always aspiring perfection, the pause in any level in perfection is the pause of happiness. Leo Tolstoy

With a cast of 20 performers who’ve lived across three generations of different cultural backgrounds, PERFECT (im)PERFECTIONS – stories untold is dance theatre that will challenge your perceptions of people with disability and question your own sense of contentment in life.
