As part of DirtyFeet’s Community Outreach program which provides opportunities to those who might not otherwise have access to dance, I have been mentoring Sarah-Vyne Vassallo throughout ‘The Right Foot Project’ which is based at the Redfern Town Hall, Sydney.
DirtyFeet has delivered Community Outreach programs to children at Redfern Community Centre and Marrickville Youth Resource Centre. ‘The Right Foot Project’ was a series of workshops across two weekends for people with and without disability. Dancers explored new devised movement within a collaborative environment.
When: Saturday 22 and 29 September 2012
Access: Open to all levels of ability 12-26 years. Suitable for low to moderate support needs.
This project was supported by the Ian Potter Foundation, the City of Sydney and Accessible Arts and was free to the participants.
