The Creative Director of Dance Integrated Australia, Philip Channells joins the sold out ‘2 One Another – Dance Exchange’ program hosted by The Arts Centre Gold Coast Dance on Saturday 26 July 2014.

This 1-day event is an opportunity for young local dancers, parents of dancers or dance enthusiasts to immerse themselves in a series of events prior to Sydney Dance Company’s multi award-wining performance of 2 One Another choreographed by Artistic Director, Rafael Bonachela.

After the ‘Sneak Peak’ event which invites the audience to witness the Sydney Dance Company (SDC) members preparing for the performance, Channells will join the ‘Discussion’ facilitated by Ausdance Queensland Director, Ann McLean. Panelists include QUT Associate Professor, Gene Moyle and internationally renowned performer, Marissa Burgess.

The Dance Exchange program kicks off at 12.30pm with an onstage rehearsal led by SDC Dance Director, Amy Hollingsworth who will share with the audience background information on the production. This will be followed by the Discussion at 2:45pm which aims to engage a conversation with dance experts about ‘making it’ as a dancer in Australia.
