I will be travelling to Taipei to attend the Global daCi/WDA Dance Summit 14 – 20 July 2012.

The theme for this international event is ‘Dance, Young People and Change’. I have experience working in all three areas, which is why I have been invited to be part of the Dance Dialogue discussion ‘Social Justice – differently abled bodies’. I will also lead a Master class titled Beyond Technique as part of the week-long event being held at the Taipei National University of Arts.

The major 2012 Global Dance Summit brings together people from across the world to reflect on key issues and point to future directions for dance in young people’s lives. This is an exciting opportunity to meet some of the worlds experts in their field, listen to them speak, attend classes and learn more about the Taiwanese culture.
